Vincennes University’s Board of Trustees approved its next two-year budget at yesterday’s Board session. The approved budget flat-lines student tuition and fees for the next two years. The budget itself is based on a steady two-year enrollment..
V-U Budget and Finance Committee chair Scott Brand says the move was recommended from state officials. In addition, the University—along with all other state-sponsored secondary institutions—had their state support cut by five percent for next year. Despite that, Brand says two faculty benefit packages will see increases– including teacher merit pay, and health insurance coverage.
The new budget also includes a three percent increase for student housing fees for both the next school year, and the 2026-27 school year. Board members approved the two-year budget proposal unanimously.
